The Harbour

Balance
Pulled Apart
Curtain
A bold abstract composition of black and off-white forms. Curved and fragmented shapes pull against one another, creating a sense of tension, movement and shifting balance.
Curtain explores concealment and revelation through geometric and organic abstraction. Bold, matt navy forms interrupt a textured light-blue ground.
Balance explores weight, repetition and equilibrium through a series of simplified, semicircular forms. Dark matt shapes stack, touch and press against one another, creating a composition that feels both stable and slightly precarious.
A abstract composition balancing mid-century modern sensibilities with a raw, tactile execution. Deep emerald green and off-white forms are punctuated by small accents of red and yellow.

Stacked
Stacked reduces the composition to three repeated semicircular forms, creating a simple rhythm of weight, balance and separation. The lighter blue shapes sit against a deep navy ground, appearing almost suspended rather than physically supported.

Fitting In
Germination
Fitting In explores the idea of belonging through repeated geometric forms that appear to slot, overlap and press into one another. Semicircles and curved shapes recur across the surface, but each is treated slightly differently in scale, colour and position.
Layered greens, off-whites and translucent marks give the painting a more fluid, biological quality than the harder geometry of the other works. Forms seem to divide, overlap and re-form, creating the sense of something developing rather than something fixed.
Muted greys and pale blues are punctuated by mustard yellow, pink and black, giving the painting a sense of rhythm and interruption. The work sits between abstraction and observation, suggesting memories, conversations and fleeting moments rather than a single fixed scene.
